Our vineyards stretch out through the fairytale location at the foot of Sokol tower, with high quality sorts of grapes: Malvasia Dubrovacka, merlot, plavac mali, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and pošip, which have told their own history since the time of the Dubrovnik Republic. On one side protected by the Konavle mountains and on the other ending in the steep coast of the Adriatic Sea, vineyards have a specific position and microclimate, which give richness and sweetness to our grape sorts.
This land, which is both rocky and lowland at the same time, is reached by sea air carried by the wind, which will, mingling with the scent of ancient pines and cypresses, olive trees, and pomegranate and fig trees, lead you to the greatest richness of this region – the vine.

Back in 1419, the Sokol tower was settled overwhelmingly on the Konavle rock, and has since kept its rocky eye on the area lying among ancient cypress trees and surrounded by vineyards. Its lonely and unhappy ENAMOURED castellan finds solace writes to his unattainable beloved and, enthralled by wine, begs her to spare his heart and fulfill his wishes. The ENAMOURED castellan is drawn into melancholy, jealousy and disappointment. While his delicious and intoxicating beverage from Konavle field provides him comfort, he says to his beloved that “old age will ask them where they spent their youth”.
This original and autochthonous sort of sweet and very aromatic white grapes is grown solely in the old wine region – Konavle, near Dubrovnik, with a centuries-old tradition of winegrowing. This high quality wine was mentioned for the first time six hundred years ago, and it was used for medicinal purposes and couldn’t be sold without the permission of the head of the Dubrovnik Republic. The nobility of the Dubrovnik Republic enjoyed this wine with desserts, but it was very popular as gift to other rulers. The story says that the St. Blaise raised the city walls thanks to the envigourating wine from Konavle.

All of our wines are made according to old tradition, but using modern Franch technology.
